Our Circle Is Now Complete

We are now legally a family. Yesterday, while the best day of our lives, was also one filled with every emotion that a human being can experience in 24 hours. Our arrival and the CWC around 7:30am, Sophie was there with her foster mother and father. This was very emotional for us all and Sophie was greiving for about 1 hour until we finally were able to give her a water bottle and things began to get better. We had our Giving and Receiving ceremony at 9am. During the sigining of the papers with DOJ Sophie christened, Tricia by peeing on her :-).
We had a wonderful lunch with Mr. Binh (in the below picture making a peace sign) and then off to the airport. Sophie's first plane ride was ok, she cried aout 75% od the way, but it was more of a sad cry and we knew she was hurting inside. We landed in Ha Noi and got a taxi with Rich, Jackie and sweet Mya and arrived at Somerset Westlake around 6:30pm with both girls racked out in Ergos with their fathers. We fed her a bottle and read a few books and she went to sleep around 9. Wow, what a totally awesome day. We cried tears of happiness, sorrow, fear all in one day with our daughter. Sorry for the late post but we had a little issue with the internet last night. Today we head to apply for her passport. More later on in the day. But we are proud to introduce our daughter Sophie Lee-Nguyen Belz.

In the Giving & Receiving ceremony. Tricia just got tinkled on :-)

Content and sleeping with Pop and the CWC.

My first plane ride........

Reading a book with Mommy having a bottle.

Yes, Jackie and Tricia had to see how many outfits their girls could wear in one day.

Looks like the 3 of you have been at this for quite awhile :) Our precious Sophie has her parents at last!!! You both are natural parents and God has placed in our loving arms a baby that was waiting for YOU both all this time. God sure does work in mysterious ways.

I am overcome with too many emotions as well.

Wow! How truly awesome to see you all together finally as a family. What a long journey this has been, yet so worth the reward! Praise God! I completely understand the mixed emotions you're going through....excitement to finally have your girl, yet apprehension about taking her away from those she knows, and also the gratefulness to those who cared for her until you could come. It is so hard to watch your child grieve, but know that our Heavenly Father has all three of you in the palm of His hand! It will all improve every day. My prayers are with you!
