Keeping Busy

Out and about in the streets near Ho Tay this morning, we stopped and tried some local cusine. It was yummy. Not a named place, just some ladies inviting us into their shop to eat so we did! Some type of cold soup that had what tasted like a cucumber in a salty vinegar base with some sweetness. Add a few red chillies and YUMMY!! Also had a tasty tofu with it. Sampled some Banh Cuon Nong which is super nice! Best way to describe it is a rice crepe filled with salty cooked pork and then topped with some salted shredded pork and oinions. Sophie loved it too! Best of all, the four of us ate for 20, 000 VND which us $1.17. Headed back to take a nap and then the afternoon digs. We also had a lot of firsts today. Sophie actually played with her friend Mya today in the play room. She also started coping Tricia. We were at the Hanoi Hilton today and she started making funny noises with her tounge. Tricia was doing the same thing. She is also repeating things Tricia says, like ba, ba. She had pasta for the first time and of course ice cream. She is really making progress. We have a tired trooper so we are going to get her to bed.

Walking at the Hanoi Hilton with Mommy.
First ice cream... yummy!

Sophie gives her approval.

Looks like you all are adjusting very well. The boys LOVE watching Sophie on the videos. Mason says "She talks!" - it's so good for them to see that she's a real person and not just a photograph! I can't wait for them to meet their cousin!!! What a blast the three of them will have!!!

We love you!

I told your mom I'm bringing the mac to christmas so we can skype our hearts out. Who knows we maybe could even set it up so uncle larry can still pass out the gifts. :) Love and miss you.

You know you're a mom when....

...you share your kids' spoon! Love the licking it after she did.

I did the same thing with both boys before we were even back on American soil. You don't even know you're doing it!
